Another Successful Marygrove Donation

The Suit Project is honored to have made one of the largest single donations in our history to Marygrove. We truly appreciate the tireless efforts of Marygrove. They work incredibly hard helping teens and young adults transcend abuse and life’s challenges. We hope the clothing can help in a small way! Keep up the great work.

Client Testimonial from the Father’s Support Center

We sincerely enjoy our ongoing relationship with Ms. Barbara Graham and the Father’s Support Network.  Ms. Graham was kind enough to share some extremely kind words and a picture of a recent group of young men who received some clothing from the Suit Project.  Thanks for all you do Ms. Graham!  We look forward to our ability to continue helping!

“Fathers’ Support Center, St. Louis (FSC) provides a comprehensive array of services for men. The FSC Mission is “To foster healthy relationships by strengthening families and communities.” Our Vision is, “Every father is a responsible father, committed to a cohesive family relationship.” Clients enrolled in our Family Formation Program participates in our employment program which provides job readiness and retention skills necessary to gain and maintain employment in order to become financially responsible for their children. On behalf of Fathers’ Support Center and our clients we would like to send a special thank you to Christopher Dixon and his organization, the St. Louis Suit Project. It is people and organizations such as yourself who allow us to continue with our mission and for that we are truly grateful. 2011 Vashon High School Donations

We are proud to announce our first successful round of donations to some amazing high school students. The St. Louis Suit Project has recently partnered with The St. Louis Public Schools’ Vashon High School for the Project’s first ever suit donations. With the help of principal Derrick Mitchell and Samantha Lurie, The St. Louis Suit Project was able to donate 2 brand new custom fit suits and 2 quality used suits to students at Vashon High School. Below are pictures of 3 of the graduating students from graduation ceremonies.

We are extremely excited about the positive feedback we received from the students in our first round of donations. As part of our donation intake process, we were able to verify the following random acts of kindness: one student purchased a meal for a man in need, another student volunteered at his sister’s youth program, another student worked with his youth group to remodel the home of a fellow church member, and another student went out of his way to help an elderly woman carry gardening tools to her car. We again would like to reiterate that individuals wishing to receive a suit do not have to perform a huge task. Sometimes simple heart felt acts of kindness mean much more than expensive gifts.

Again, thanks so much to Vashon High School for being part of The St. Louis Suit Project’s first ever round of donations. We look forward to our continued relationship.
